Bottom Sucker

  • There was a time when I talked to my dad and he said “We’ve hit bottom low, you know… So I know that there’s no other way for us but up.”
  • The words were meant to be uplifting. It felt good to hear, but sadly, I knew better. There is no such thing as bottom low. Maybe there is, but what we are, isn’t. There was a nudge in my belly that said,
  • “No Pops, there are 6 Billion more bottom lows in the world. We’re not bottom low… And I don’t think there’s a bottom.”
