The Storyteller [Poem]

The Storyteller
September 18, 2008
3:37am

Look and see through doors beyond
And enter worlds your dreams are fond
My words in prime can wound or heal
As sure as same can do instill
a truth
a lie
a moment’s dream
of luck
or lack;
Which door you deem,
Depends if you’ll take time to stare
Onto my eyes of darkest glare

My sun-scorched travels now I bid
Behind my tongue you’ll find what’s hid
The words i speak, you reckon heard
But listen, child, beyond the word,
of tales
and quests
of ends, and starts
of kings
and slaves
and lives apart
It matters not, these tales I weave
I show my door, and then I leave

The daunting wisdom line my face
My lips will take you place to place
But as the sun sets on my brow
The wisdom now I do avow:

With every word, with every tale
My words are seeds and cast and gray
It’s yours to take the path I bid
Behind my tongue you’ll find what’s hid

Riddle Me This [Poem]

*RIDDLE ME THIS

Just a Warning:
Look through this sign
And find what’s unfound
It’s only through this
That a path that is bound
To follow your doom
Avoid it you could
So zip through this quick
And tax your brain good

Four men and a lady
They went to a party
With pets of the host
They carried a toast

The seven of pets
Of none you can scorn
With all but one tailed
Two pincered, three horned

The rest they are fanged
Except for one finned
And the balance one bought
Twas the silver they bring

The gentlemen four
With twins at their fore
The lady is followed
By water and arrow

Search My Face [Poem]

*SEARCH MY FACE
(Behind, beneath, beyond II)

Look at me
Through clearer eyes
Do speak to me, my friend
Be stranger may
How much unknown
I may my troubles send

I beg you please
Do not avert
Too many people had
Remind me of the happiness
Coz friend my soul is bland

Do tell me friend,
Why do you smile?
That glint that grace your eye,
Remind me coz I do regret
To me it’s been a while

Describe to me
What laughter’s like
What’s joy and what is pain?
I would appr’ciate it a lot
If you could just explain

Why do you cry when
You are sad
Yet cry when you rejoice
Why do you sing and dance and grin
And lift your happy voice

Why do you shed
Those precious tears
Do tell me that they are?
Those little salty drops of grief
That heals your wounded scar

Oh friend, I really
Want to know
What’s like to feel the throb
Of heartbeats singing happiness
That falsity has robbed

Coz, look at me through
Clearer eyes, my friend
Oh cant you help?
Used fabricated faces much
That I misplaced myself

This mask I weave
With dried up tears
It smiles and grins on cue
The grief that had to stay inside
Is all that’s left that’s true

Yet hidden all these
Feelings are which one
Is real or not?
And friend I tried my best you see
But sadly I forgot

So do remind my friend, do try
I want but to recall
The days when my heart
And my face
In one place they would fall

The masquerade goes on unceased
I wear my mask tonight
And if you cannot help at all
Just try to look inside

Beyond the plastered
Smile I flash
Beneath my laughter’s peel
Behind the cold disheartened eyes
A soul that wants to heal

The Silence Damned [Poem]

*THE SILENCE DAMNED
2005

Empty words were flung
Voiceless hymns are sung
Unerring for their void of sound

Empty space ungone
Actions are undone
Unheard, unseen from all, unfound

Empty silence choke
Existence made a joke
In chains unspoken wrath was bound

Null of every feel
Truth will not reveal
This air of lies, deceit around

Shattered wisdom lay
Upon the death of day
Its empty words were thrown around

Blinded from the dark
Devoid of every mark
To find this path upon this ground
The silence to be damned

The Marionette Blue [Poem]

*THE MARIONETTE BLUE
16 April 2005
1:00:12 am

Make me smile, see me dance
Look into that lifeless trance
Watch me jump, make me laugh
But please don’t stare too hard enough

Give me praise and give applause
I act on through without a cause
My empty smile it makes you glad
Though never wonder if I had

Really laughed inside this hole
This empty block of wood I know
Hollow and with dust and grime
With scented wood that aged with time

Judge me not with what’s outside
With cracks and holes I try to hide
My splinters and my chipping frays
These things I steal from passing days

[[Can lifeless eyes do tell a song?
But don’t you gaze at them too long
With plastic strings do puss me by
Direct my life with threads untied]]

Through blackest nights I’m not afraid
For that is where my eyes have stayed
And when the curtains rise again
Exalt me from the darkness’ reign

What can empty eyes do see
When I cant even see through me
A puppet held by strings of old
And actor dead without a hold

Of hands that never was his own
Surrendered life a useless pawn
A hollow wood with painted smiles
A sorrow that is just a lie

The show is done so put me back
How well, o Master, did I act?
Put away the strings and try
To bid this ragged doll goodbye

Tattered and Torn [Poem]

*TATTERED AND TORN
March 13, 2005
1:45:25am

Tattered dreams decay the ground
Torn are pages that surround
Broken hopes are all but thus
Shattered songs would turn to dust
Blurry visions break at sight
Far-fetched dreams that fade with light
Turbid colors swirling through
The lies would mix with grayish hue
A bitter past that’s better dead
Erased they need upon my head
Destroy, detest the pain with haste
Though pain is what the eye have chased
Slaughter silence as it sings
Berid of sadness passing wings
Smother daylight at its peak
Attempt to kill the hope you seek
But still the tattered dreams, I fear
Are part of me, they’re always near
The broken hopes are always kept
Upon the heart that bled and wept
Shattered these will always be
The dreams the hopes, will not be free
But still do cling upon these shreds
Of all the torn and tattered ends

Verses and Lines [Poem]

*VERSES AND LINES
Jan 3 2005
2:01:53 am

Put it down on paper
Do write it lovingly
Your dreams and sigh a prayer
And hope no one would see

Glue your soul in pieces
In stanzas here and then
For no one really listens
Except your dirty pen

Write away your sorrow
Let tears fall on the white
Hide your face and borrow
A mask spun from the night

[[Scribble your emotions
Devour them page by page
Cover up your actions
Your tears, your thoughts, your rage]]

[[Spin away a song and
Add a verse or two
Weave away a poem
And write your feelings true]]

[[Pour your soul and your heart
And paint your dream alive
And though your eyes are tired
Just push the world aside]]

Write away your heartache
Describe your rueful time
Everything it would take
Is a tearful rhyme

behind your pen and paper
Exists a world you made
A lie that let’s you muster
The strength to take the day

[[Jot your life and sadness
Away from prying eyes
The paper holds the secrets
Those hid between the lies]]

And though your heart you don’t show
And feel you’re at a loss
Deep inside you do know
You wish they’ll come across

These tiny little verses
The lines that hold your heart
You hope someone would see you
For who and what you are
